The machine is a General Electric VSCAN portable apparatus which can work on battery for a couple of hours. Still, its primary use will be in the delivery ward, where it will make possible quick and handy examinations that previously required the patient to be moved to the x-ray ward. Its basic functions were demonstrated to the local obstetrician and his team (See photos). The software of the machine contains video and other instructive material, so the local professionals will go on learning by experimentation.
