Pc Young doctors, mainly pediatricians and gynecologists, will work in the pediatric and obstetric wards of Kagando for 3-6 months under supervision of experienced local specialists in the respective fields. Building on personal, professional partnerships with Ugandan health workers, personnel from Kagando will receive training in Stockholm and/or by specialists from the Karolinska visiting Kagando. The supervising specialists from Kagando visited Stockholm in October -17 as guests of the County Council and of Paravida. Two young pediatricians from Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge worked from early December through January, 2018-19. The experience was a success on both sides and we are presently recruiting other interested health professionals.
